Thank you for visiting. I'm often busy out on the farm so there is sometimes a day or two before I get to the post office. My usual postal day is Friday.

A double bed size coverlet/bedspread hand-woven in Somerset from Somerset flocks.

The Portland warp and weft is from a local flock of rare breed sheep, which I took to the mill to be spun in to soft, bouncy Aran yarn. Saved from the compost heap, I think you will agree it was worth the work to turn it in to such warm white yarn. There are fewer than 1,500 Portland sheep in the UK and we are proud to be a part of the programme to stop them becoming extinct.

The grey stripe is blade shorn, regeneratively grown Shetland fibre from the Mendip Hills.

There is another oatmeal stripe at both ends, blade shorn Shetland from my gentle ewe, Viola. Her fleece has improved with each year we blade shear her and I am very pleased y the softness of this handspun.

All hand-woven on my Dryad 4 shaft counterbalance loom in Ford, outside Wiveliscombe. I used a method called double weave to create two layers of cloth at the same time, joined at one edge, which unfolds to create a piece twice the width of the loom. It took two days to set up the loom and two long days to weave the cloth.

Over 1.5kg in weight

155 x 177cm not including tassels

This will be posted in a recycled gift box with a magnet closing, in recycled waterproof packaging, with tracking.
