Thank you for visiting. I'm often busy out on the farm so there is sometimes a day or two before I get to the post office. My usual postal day is Friday.

Collection: Plant Inks & Dyes

Throughout the seasons I forage and harvest parts of plants that offer up natural inks and dye colour for our wool.

These colours, found in nature, are always different, depending on the time of year, the conditions the plant grows in, the weather.

I particularly enjoy tree dyes, using these for writing, drawing and dyeing our fleeces and yarns.

By collecting, experimenting, using natural chemical reactions such as adding rust, we find stunning shades in nature.

All tree and plant materials are harvested from our dye garden on our smallholding and our woodlands and hedgerows; harvested by hand and dried here on the farm.

These inks are all designed to be colour fast. They need to be kept in a cool dark place and can sometimes develop a slight mould on, this can be scooped off.

I add essential oil of birch or wintergreen as a natural preservative.
