Nettle is the son of our famously friendly Shetland ewe Vita. He is two years old now and this is his fleece from the spring shearing 2025.
A solid Shetland brown fleece, rich dark colour underneath and light tips bleached by the sun.
As a wether, a castrated male, his fleece is not quite as fine as some of our other Shetland girls but it is a large soft fleece well worth the time to wash and spin.
Blade shorn and picked over to remove second cuts and hay.
Perfect for combing and spinning, or the locks can be added to felt or handspun yarn to create interest.
