Shetland Wool Yarn DK

Mill-spun Shetland wool yarn in 4-ply weight, sold in 100g washed skeins.

The 4-ply weight is 350m to 100g, which equates to an American Fingering weight and is two ply in structure. 

I have a small flock of Shetland ewes and I am proud to have my very own, mill spun blade shorn yarn available.

Shetland wool if famously warm and soft, and used in Fairisle knitting.

These ewes are in my HoneyWoods Flock, blade shorn in Somersetand spun in Dorset. A truly small scale, rare breed, ethical, low mileage, sustainable yarn. 

100% natural plastic-free yarn. Skeins are packaged with a 100% recycled label.

Also pictured with the white 4ply Portland yarns I have in stock which would work beautifully with the Shetland to give you 4 natural colours.
