I grew this shawl in our fields.
The wool has been through hands many times, from the blade shearer, to the mill, and back to me.
Washed, spun, woven.
My Portland ewes grew the white; it is a warm, soft white, not icy.
The grey, moorit and tan come from my Shetlands. Vita, Gertrude, Artemis, Yarrow, Eclipse and Melo.
This is a large, lightweight, and super soft shawl or throw grown entirely in West Somerset and woven a few hundred metres from the grass the sheep graze.
This is what a local cloth looks like.
