This fleece is the last fleece I will get from my beautiful Ram, home grown and mich loved, HoneyWoods Elder. He has moved on to another farm to continue his work helping to keep the breed alive!
Portland fleeces work well both carded and handspun, or spun at the mill; they take dyes incredibly well and also are good for felting. The perfect all rounder.
This fleece is not as fine and lustrous as the ewe fleeces but it is still an interesting fleece to work with. It weights 1.22kg and your purchase supports the ongoing breeding and protection of this beautiful, iconic Dorset breed.
