Shetland lambswool from last year's lambs, Ricky and Boy.
One was born to a Shetland mum and Icelandic dad, the other the other way around.
As you can see these primitive sheep often appear dark when they are young but you can tell they will become lighter by the white underlayer and sugar lips.
Shorn last March using blade shears, leaving them with a layer of fleece to keep them protected until warmer weather arrived.
The fleece was washed and machine carded to make a perfect wool prep fibre.
Beautiful icy grey sliver ready for spinning.
