Jacob Wool - sliver

Beautiful rare breed blade shorn Jacob fleece.

These older ewes are from a flock belonging to a friend who lives and works in her woodland on Exmoor. Charcoal maker and artist, she is an inspiration.

These fleeces were sent to the mill to be cleaned and carded ready for spinning.

I love these softly blended colours, almost a gradient between light and dark.
