I have a very good friend at Wyldlea Farm in Devon who is regeneratively grazing both sheep and cows.

These are her lambswool fleeces, blade shorn, all individual and beautiful.

* Whole, raw and unwashed
* First cut from autumn sheer (September ‘24)
* Blade/ hand sheared by a very experienced bladeshearer
* These fleeces don't need skirting other than the belly because they are so soft. Our shearer shears the belly separately so these parts do not get included with the fleece. I have also picked out the most of the obvious blades of grass, second cuts etc of which there was very little. This means there will only be very minimal organic matter in the fleece.

* This fleece is so fine, young and lovely that it doesn't hold together like fleeces from older sheep would.

About the Wyldlea flock
* Our small flock grazes in the green hills of North Devon, in between newly planted rows of trees.
* We farm with organic principles in mind and with love for animal, soil and nature.
* The sheep are almost completely grassfed. They only get a handful of organic sheep nuts if we need to handle them (e.g. get them into hurdles to shear them).
* Because of growing concerns about the environmental impact of chemical wormers and resistance in worms, we are very careful with our use of chemical wormers and only treat our sheep if there is a problem (so after we have had a good look at their poo underneath a microscope!).
